Birding at Camden State Park Located in a beautiful, wooded valley of the Redwood River, Camden State Park is an oasis in an area of intensive agriculture. The park offers woodland and prairie habitat for a wide variety of birds. Seventeen species of warblers, plus many species of thrushes, flycatchers, swallows and sparrows visit the park. The Redwood River within Camden State Park southwest of Marshall receives 2,500 brown trout and Scheldrof Creek northwest of Windom receives 500 brown trout. Camden State Park offers much for visitors to enjoy. Fish for brown trout in the Redwood River or bass and bluegill in Brawner Lake. Hike the trails or cool off in the spring-fed pool. Walk along the wooded river valley, climb the Dakota Valley Trail to the lookout for great fall colors, or go canoeing on Brawner Lake.
