I have a couple of Astilbe in my garden ("Ellie" and "Visions in Red") and correspondingly I have no Aruncus. It is great that both plants grow and flower in similar tricky conditions i.e. shade but it seems to me from pictures that I see on-line that Goat`s Beard does not offer much more than.
